I am finally feeling fully better from my latest street battle with COVID. Heck, this variant is no joke and I hope that you take precautions to protect yourself and others as we move into the colder seasons. Today’s essay is about bodies and change and our relationship with those things.
In other news, the universe has once again issued me a cat. Just in time for spooky season a sweet black cat started showing up on my porch. I call her Freya, in honor of the mother of seidr, the most powerful sect of Norse magic. Freya, goddess of war, love, and magic, rode in a chariot pulled by cats in a move that could only be accomplished by someone hellbent on putting the Power in Power Lesbian.
